St. Thomas Playhouse is a community theatre dedicated to enriching the spiritual lives of participants and audience members through the presentation of plays and musicals that celebrate the human experience, build relationships, and explore life theologically and personally. Education for children and youth in the theatre arts is a fundamental component of this mission.
The upcoming season includes performances of “The Fantasticks”, scheduled to be shared with the community June 14-18, 2006. “The Fantasticks”—a sunny, funny musical about youthful love—has entertained audiences for over 40 years and is the longest running musical in the world. Finally, plan to celebrate the 2006 holidays with “Annie”, a spectacular musical that is perfect for the entire family. “Annie” will be presented December 14-17, 2006 at the nexStage Theatre in Ketchum.
St. Thomas Playhouse also runs Company B Performing Arts Camp for Children and Youth June 15-18, 2006. This fabulous performing arts camp entices children ages 5 to 14 into a fun world of improvisation, acting music, voice, dance and choreography. It culminates with the production of the musical “Honk! Jr.”, which shall be performed June 15-18, 2006.
