Film - REMEMBERING TOPAZ INTERNMENT CAMP
A film by David Tatsuno, presented by his son, Rod. When Japanese-American store owner David Tatsuno was forced to relocate to an internment facility soon after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, he smuggled an eight-millimeter camera into the Topaz Relocation Center in Utah. Shot from the perspective of an evacuee, the film he created chronicles the details of his family’s life in the camp and is one of only two home movies archived in the collection of the Library of Congress. Cantus
