Boulder Mountain Clayworks seeks to provide ceramic artists with an affordable and creative place to work; to provide art students with a place to experience clay and art classes; and to provide the community-at-large with a resource for all things ceramic. Throughout the year, the studio offers classes for students with various levels of experience in throwing, handbuilding and sculpture. Classes are also available for children in handbuilding and for teenagers in throwing. In addition to ceramic classes, the studio offers classes in drawing and painting, and also provides studio space for figure drawing workshops. Raku firings and potlucks are featured once a month. Summer clay camps are held during a five-week session beginning the second week of July. One-week camps are offered for adults, teenagers, and children. A weekend clay workshop with a nationally noted-clay artist is also on the docket. Boulder Mountain Clayworks is located in the lower level of the 10th Street Industrial Park in Ketchum.
